passengers flying from Stockholm Arlanda Airport with Finnair, Höga Kusten, Iceland Air, Norwegian or SAS can now check as soon as they get to the waiting area at the Cityterminalen bus station in central Stockholm. Air France and KLM will also have check-in machines available soon.
“Because more and more people are choosing to take public transport to the airport, we want to make the trip simpler and smoother for passengers by offering check-in and other services even at bus stops and train stations,” Thomas Cassel adds.
Stockholm Arlanda’s check-in machines at Cityterminalen in central Stockholm are another step to make travel easier for the airport’s passengers. Check-in machines have already been set up in all the airport terminals, in a long-term parking facility and the Stockholm central train station.“By checking in right at the Cityterminalen bus station and getting your boarding card and baggage tags, it is simply a matter of leaving your bag at the drop-off counter at Stockholm Arlanda and going through the security checkpoint. Since both passengers and the airport are prepared, the process is faster and the waiting time shorter,” says Thomas Cassel, Head of Commercial and Terminal Business at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Swedavia.
The Self Service Check-in machines are now being rolled out, and the number of airlines that can be accessed with the machines continues to increase.
Stockholm Arlanda’s check-in machines
Stockholm Arlanda’s check-in machines are fully automated check-in counters. Passengers select the airline they are flying with and follow instructions on a touch screen to get their boarding card and baggage tags printed out.
After arriving at the airport, passengers simply have to drop off their baggage and continue through the security checkpoint to their gate.
The number of check-in machines continues to grow. Today, people can check in at every terminal at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, the Alfa long-term parking facility, the Airport Conference Centre in Sky City, the Arlanda Express platform area in the Stockholm Central train station and the Cityterminalen bus station in Stockholm.
